Let me start this blog off right by saying that my family and I had an excellent two night staycation at Marco Polo Ortigas, one of the top hotels in the Metro and the first and only sky hotel in Manila. Not to mention that it has earned the Five-Star Award for two consecutive years by Forbes Travel Guide. Take note that it is the first time that Manila made it to the list since its inception six decades ago and also the only non-gaming hotel recipient in the Philippines. My family and I took a journey that exceeded our expectations for a two night stay at the hotel, together with breakfast and lunch at Cucina; afternoon tea at Connect Lounge and Café Pronto; and dinner at Lung Hin and Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge. It was a worry-free vacation since Marco Polo provided the most exceptional service that went hand-in-hand with staff prioritizing customer satisfaction. What made our stay even better was the complimentary high-speed wifi internet service available all throughout the hotel. The first purpose-built five-star hotel in the country offers 316 spacious and well-designed rooms and suites. We stayed at their two premier and superior connecting rooms. The hotel, a product of sophisticated design and well-planned development, is bestowed as the first sky hotel in the country with dedicated floor areas exclusively for business and recreational use.Lowkey trying to cover my baby fats The floors are accessed via high-speed elevators including a wellness hub called Flow which houses a full-service spa, indoor infinity pool (definitely one of my favorite spots), and fully-equipped fitness center. After we checked in, we spent the afternoon enjoying the view of the Metro while sipping a cup of tea at Marco Polo’s Connect Lounge. The three-tier stand that has a wide array of selections ranging from these scrumptious minis cakes and delights for those who have a sweet tooth like me, to fresh sandwiches with colorful baguettes for bread lovers.
